Thursday…Not the case, Ed says

May 17th, 2007 · No Comments

I received a response on Tuesday from Ed Case to my post several days ago. It arrived by email via an AOL address, “edcasesenate”.

He wrote:

This sure came out of left field.

I don’t know who you had lunch with, and suspect you won’t tell me (will you?) I don’t know whether he was or wasn’t pursuing a “larger strategy,” as you later concluded he was.

However, your comments, unintended or not, imply that, if he was, it was part of or related to my ongoing interest in elective office. I know that’s wrong: neither I nor anyone who’s part of my efforts has engaged or is engaged or will engage in any overall strategy to target Senator Inouye, invite negative reporting, or suggest that the media was or is subject to outside political manipulation.

If you have any specific information to the contrary, please let me know so that I can address it directly. Otherwise, I would appreciate your confirming my reply to your readers.

Fair enough.

The former congressman also invited me to meet and answer questions, an offer I’ll take him up on as soon as my schedule starts clearing up.
