It’s a slow morning in Kaaawa.

Harriet had a fight in the last few days and has a good scratch on her back. I’ve been monitoring and it seems to be healing. On Sunday morning, Ms. Wally jumped in my lap and I was petting her without paying much attention, then saw some blood on my fingers. She had a scratch on her head, but I’m not sure if it was self-inflicted (scratching) or not (scratched). Nothing serious there.

I was browsing and ran into a searchable collection of photos at the Library of Congress. What a treat this is! Here’s an example, listed as a photo of Waikiki Beach in 1902.
