Kitten is now eating pretty good once we figured out she (yes, we now agree that she’s a she)Â doesn’t like the expensive milk substitute and really just wants to wade in some canned cat/kitten food and snarf it up in sort of a combination lick/suck/bite motion while paddling with her front paws, those paws of course firmly planted in the dish of food. What she lacks in eating technique, though, she’s now making up in enthusiasm.
Yesterday I was poised with camera expecting to get a picture of her first nose-to-nose meeting with Ms. Annie, who had slipped into the room where we’ve been keeping the kitten. But kitten went into defensive posture, complete with arched back and hair on end, and Annie decided to skip the meeting and escape past that scary cat, running out into the living room where she quickly regained her dignity. But here’s the tiny terror in what must be full instinctive position!
