doctoral program and ann treated me with such respect and
compassion I remember always she would swoooosh into the
department see all the male faculty around the table early
in the morning and whisper under her breath ...."bulls at
the watering hole" I watched her and learned
from her and have been so grateful as my career has taken me
from hawaii into corporate america to washington and finally
to my own company as a consultant all over the
country I have been many times the
only woman in a room of men ann gave me the courage
to do all of these things and
the wisdom to sit with the bulls at the watering
hole I will miss
