It wasn't easy to get to what they called Kilawea on the Island of Hawaii in the Fall of 1920, yet it was a popular attraction. These photographs were taken by J. Lewis and Meda Renton of Ewa. My wife, Meda Chesney-Lind, is their granddaughter. Each photo is labeled by hand on the back by Meda Renton.
