We were only a day and a half into the trip and already in the throes of cat withdrawal. Then we found Chester and a couple of friends relaxing in the little thrift shop run by the Skagit Valley Humane Society. Chester was quite a handsome fellow, as were his friends. It wasn't enough of a cat fix, but it was at least something.
