We returned to Waimea in mid-August 1974 to stand trial before District Court Judge Norman Olds. It had been three months since we charged with trespass after symbolically "occupying" a Parker Ranch pasture high above Waimea town during a protest against the pasture lease policies of the Hawaiian Homes Commission. But most of us were bit players--it was clearly Sonny Kaniho's show.
