Some of my dad's favorites

More from the files of John M. Lind, a founder of the Waikiki Surf Club and the Makaha International Surfing Championships, who spent 60 years selling restaurant and kitchen supplies and equipmentin Hawaii, including 40 years running his own small business.

I'm still sorting through old photos found among my dad's papers and files. These were among a small batch of pictures set aside and accompanied by a page of typed captions. I'm guessing this means that they are special to him. They photos range from when he was about four years old to 1936, when he was 23, with most from his adventure working on Grace Line's Santa Cecilia, then hitchhiking with a friend from California to the Chicago World's Fair in 1933.
