Taken the year Professor Carey D. Miller arrived at the university, these photographs show Hawaii Hall, Gartley Hall, and the old Engineering Building. All three buildings are still standing and in use.

These personal photographs were among the personal papers of Professor Miller, food scientist who taught at the University of Hawaii from 1922-1958. After Miller's death in 1985, they passed to her former student and long-time friend, Helen Lind.
