Introducing this as-yet-unnamed black cat, an adolescent stray who appeared recently and has apparently charmed rather than fought his way through the defenses of our cats in order to sit outside on the deck near the door and wait for food while several of the "official" cats usually stand by and watch. Silverman was the last cat that succeeded with this kind of approach, and he's been eating here for nearly seven years.
