Before the restoration work, the painting was in poor condition. There was an overall layer of dirt, and paint in a large section of the sky and top of the mountain was cracked and peeling. The excellent restoration was done by Larry Pace, an experienced and trained professional. The results are, to us, remarkable. Here are before & after photos.
