| I've started watching at Foodland for small packages of turkey legs. These are often very reasonably priced. I just throw two in a pan, brown in olive oil, add garlic, thyme, a bit of chopped onion, some white wine, then simmer for maybe an hour. Keep the temperature low or it will all fall apart. Drop some carrots and potatoes, cut into cubes, and let those cook until done. Salt, pepper, and add "hot" to taste. Looking at the photo, it appears that I served it with a bit of rice as well. Meda's vegetable plate with fresh tomatoes, baby carrots, olives and peppers added color and spice. This goes with either red or white wine, no problem. |
