Hawaii Tribune-Herald Employees Demand
Hawaii Tribune-Herald
workers and their supporters on the Big Island will be picketing at the
Tribune-Herald office three times during the day on Aug. 23 in support of a
fair new contract for union workers at the Big Islandıs largest daily
newspaper.
The last time these
workers received a raise was January 2002, a 1 percent increase. Since then
this profitable newspaper only has offered proposals to employees that would
lower pay, reduce benefits, and take away union jobs.
Itıs time to demand a
fair contract for employees at the Hawaii Tribune-Herald. Join them and their
fellow union members, friends and supporters, on the picket line this Wednesday
to help raise a strong voice in support of a fair contract.
