Ann used to have some
wild parties with her students and I remember being
invited to one of her Thanksgiving dinner parties and
tasting her wonderful fresh cranberry
sauce. Stella, especially, was very
fond of "Missy" and her Siamese cats and would visit Ann
almost daily. Ann used to have some wild parties with her

and inspirational person, and a very close family friend,
who told me at mama's funeral that she always felt as though

I feel a special sadness, an emptiness, and a closure of an
era by her passing, because to me, she was a living strong
connection to mama and papa, and Carnation place.
