There's a homemade memorial on the side of Kamehameha Highway near that tree on the point, marking the site of one of the many fatal accidents that have occurred over the years along this stretch of coastline. It's beautiful, but too often deadly for the reckless or unaware. If spirits hang around, though, what a place to spend eternity.
