This was the last parcel condemned by the city to extend the Kaaawa shoreline park a little more than ten years ago. A Honolulu physician had only recently purchased the house which sat here and was surprised when it was condemned. Turned out he had signed off on a legal disclosure stating that he was aware of the city's long-standing interest, but believed the Realtor's verbal claim that nothing was likely to happen. Bad move.
